Get Rid of Acne with Chemical Peels

If you are an acne suffer and believe that doing a chemical peel will fix your acne....  Think again!

Controling Acne with Chemical Peels
Chemical peels can be good exfoliating treatments, when performed by a professional. A chemical peel can aid in the clearing of your acne but it must be used in conjunction with the right home care regimen to successfully clear your acne.

If you suffer from acne and want to start doing chemical peels to help enhance your treatments I suggest following these rules.

1.  Never order a chemical peel on the internet and preform the peel on yourself to save money!  Remember this is your face and you should leave this type of work to a professional. Facial burns and scarring is not worth saving a buck.

2. Find a Licensed Esthetician or skincare professional who has experience and knowledge performing chemical peels for acne. Schedule a consultation with this person.

3. Make sure you communicate with this skincare professional prior to receiving a chemical peel if you are allergic to anything like aspirin. Also they should ask you what home care products you are using.  Like Retin-A or any other acids which may be a contraindication to receiving a peel in your time frame.

4. Lastly, make sure that you understand the downtime you will experience after your chemical peel.  Not all peels have a downtime but some peels can have a two week downtime. Make sure to get a clear and concise "post peel" sheet which tells you how to take care of your face after the peel.  Also, make sure you understand when it is ok to start using your regular home care routine again.
